Tiscali: Archaeology, traditions, environment.

Buses and cars will be left in the town of Oliena, and we will make our way towards the  Lanaitto Valley in off-road vehicles.  After travelling along the Rio Flumineddu (dominated by basalt columns) and the high plain of Su Gullei for about 10 km, we will arrive at an old cart track once used by miners.  From here we will continue on foot for about an hour on a narrow path in the middle of the wilderness, until we arrive at the village of Tiscali.  Lunch follows: tasty salami, roasted meats and cheeses which will be prepared for us by some of the region’s hospitable farmers.   In the afternoon we will reach the impressive spring called Fonte di Su Cologone, before returning to Oliena in the off-road vehicles.
